  4. Name the preset (e.g. "Morning 0DTE", "Swing Momentum")
  5. Load it later from the preset dropdown

You can save multiple presets for different strategies or market conditions.

Adjusting for Market Conditions

High Volatility (VIX elevated)

  • Consider raising the Size filter (e.g. 1,500 instead of 500) to reduce noise
  • Lower the Premium filter if flow is scattered across many smaller trades
  • Stick to 0DTE or very short expirations for day trading

Low Volatility (VIX low)

  • You may lower Size to catch more flow (e.g. 300-500)
  • Premium filter can stay higher to focus on conviction
  • Slightly longer expirations (1-2 weeks) can work for swing plays
  • Trending: Favor single-direction sentiment (Bullish or Bearish)
  • Range-Bound: Consider both directions or neutral; flow may be more hedged

Time of Day

  • Pre-market / Open: Use 0DTE or 1-2 DTE for morning momentum
  • Midday: Same filters; focus on clusters and repeat alerts
  • Afternoon: Tighten filters; avoid new 0DTE entries after 2 PM

Tips for Fine-Tuning

  1. Start strict, then relax: Begin with conservative filters. If you see too few alerts, loosen one dimension at a time.
  2. Match Algo Edge: If you use Algo Edge, align Option Flow filters (e.g. Size, Premium) for confirmation.
  3. Track what works: Note which preset and tweaks produced your best trades.
  4. Update weekly: Market regime changes; revisit filters at least weekly.
